Spicy Cinnamon Apple Chips
Mouthgasmic RECIPES from the Garden
This fun and flavorful method is a wonderful way to preserve an abundance of apples! Try these apple chips as a snack by themselves, with a sweet and creamy dip, or add them to baked goods.

Ingredients:
- 2 Granny Smith apples
- 1 tbsp 100% organic blue agave
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp nutmeg
- Sprinkle of cloves
- Sprinkle of Himalayan pink salt
- Sprinkle of cayenne pepper
Method:
- Thinly slice the apples. Use a mandolin if you have one! No need to core or seed the apples, as the seeds will fall out after dehydrating.
- Toss apple slices with agave, cinnamon, salt, and cayenne.
- Dehydrate your flavored apple slices! There are a few options for dehydrating, depending on the equipment you have on hand:
- An air fryer is ideal for making apple chips! Arrange the apple slices in a single layer of the air fryer basket with little to no overlap. Bake at 350° for about 12 minutes, flipping every 4 minutes.
- To use an oven, preheat to 200 degrees F. Place a metal rack inside a rimmed baking sheet, and arrange the apple slices on it in a single layer. Bake for 2 to 3 hours, flipping halfway through. Apples will continue to crisp while cooling, so bake until apples are dried out but still pliable.
