Ingredients:
- Steamed or roasted squash - butternut is classic, but acorn or spaghetti squash would also be delicious in this dish!
- Butter
- Himalayan pink salt
- Ground black pepper
- Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)
- Diced red onion
- Diced jalapeños (optional)
- Nuts and/or seeds, such as sunflower seeds, almonds, pecans, walnuts
- Dollop of Spiced Date Spread
- Herbs, fresh or dried - parsley, lemon balm, cilantro
Method:
1. Mash squash of choice with butter, salt, pepper, and cayenne if desired.
2. Spoon into bowls, and top with red onion, jalapeños, nuts/seeds, and a dollop of Spiced Date Spread.
3. Sprinkle with herbs, and serve hot!
