The Raised Beds

  • Many monster truck tire raised beds lie in the center of the in-ground garden and are filled year-round with organic lettuces, exotic greens, yellow cherry tomatoes, and seasonal herbs.

  • BJ’s bed, named after one of our favorite chefs, is loaded with root vegetables, wild tomatoes, greens and herbs.

  • Corner bed lies at the corner of the main walk path. Greens grow well here.

  • Trailer house beds are small raised pallet beds with great soil.

  • Strawberry bed is about the size of a bus, but is only a year old and is still filling in. 

  • Railroad tie bed lies next to and is twice the size of strawberry bed.

  • Octagonal bed grows lettuces, cabbages, wild tomatoes, and seasonal herbs. This raised bed is roughly the size of a large plastic kiddie pool.

  • 2 large beds made from stumps contain ​squash, sow thistle
