Good day, Steemians!
This is my gorgeous soul sister, Tori the angel.
She just found out Bitcoin is almost $6000!!!
J/k, I took this photo of her on a Canon 550D a few years ago when we lived in Peru, and it is my entry to this week's ACTION themed B&W Photo Contest hosted by @daveks, sponsored by @papa-pepper, & with guest judge @quinneaker!
In this photo, we're at some of my favorite ruins in the whole wide world, the Temple of the Monkey just outside of Cusco. If you keep walking that way ↖, you'll get to Machu Picchu in like a week.
It's an amazing place. We're at 11,000+ feet above sea level here, and we're surrounded by the apus - the sacred peaks - of the Andes. I feel my heart lift just thinking about it: the sky, the Earth, the eucalyptus, the expansions, the mountains, the mysteries, the interweavings of all beings...some day my soul will find all the right words to explain what it's like...some day I'll go back there and lay on the rocks and speak to the Spirits again while time and space fall away once more...
In the mean time, enjoy Tori's joy! Here we are, free as birds, playing on ancient ruins used for who knows what, but certainly something powerful - the energy is undeniably...different...in that place. Cusco sits on lay lines, and it is no wonder that there are so many ancient sites within walking distance. The Temple of the Monkey is between Q'enqo and the Temple of the Moon, a short hike from the incredible project where we lived & volunteered, where I could see Sacsayhuaman from my bedroom. It is absolutely a vortex; the Incas were undoubtedly on to something!
I hope to understand it in this lifetime.
